Canadian radiology informatics developer RamSoft has debuted the latest iteration of its PowerServer PACS product, version 4.3.
The 4.3 release incorporates a number of new features, according to Toronto-based RamSoft. These include Study Bookmarking, a capability that allows a reading physician to resume an unread study at the point it had been closed, and Study Linking, a feature that allows reading physicians to simultaneously compare images from studies across multiple medical records.
Other new features include a Smart Compare mode that enables hanging protocols to automatically choose the most relevant prior studies for image comparison, as well as hardware and software integration such as with PowerScribe speech recognition by Dictaphone/Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA.
The PowerScribe PACS 4.3 application, as well as the company's RamSoft One RIS/PACS/billing system, will be demonstrated at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM, formerly SCAR) conference this June in Providence, RI.
