Amicas swings into black despite lower Q1 sales

PACS vendor Amicas reported lower revenues for the company's first quarter (end-March 31), but the firm swung into the black compared to the same period a year earlier.

For the quarter, the Boston company reported revenues of $12.4 million, down $13% compared with sales of $14 million the year before. Despite the drop, Amicas reported net income from continuing operations of $100,000, compared with a net loss from continuing operations of $254,000 in the first quarter of 2006.
