Dental teleradiology services provider APW Dental Imaging has changed its name to i-dontics.
APW was founded in 2002 in New York City and since has expanded to 11 sites in four states, including New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Georgia. Current plans call for a minimum of 40 additional locations by the end of 2008.
In other news, i-dontics appointed Mark E. Ulrich as its new CEO. Ulrich's background includes more than 20 years in marketing, sales, and product development in the information technology and telecommunications industry at companies that include Intel, Cisco, AT&T, and Fujitsu.
The company's founding partner, Dr. Alan A. Winter, assumes the position of chairman.
