Cedara begins shipments of C4 platform

Cedara Software of Mississauga, Ontario, has begun commercial shipments of its C4 platform.

The integration framework enables modular integration of clinical applications with minimal impact on PACS software and supports many PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. The platform was first announced at the 2006 meeting of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).

The Merge Healthcare subsidiary's C4 platform also provides a standard interface for all bidirectional information between the C4-enabled host and clinical application module to maximize productivity.
