The parent company of Greenville, SC-based PACS software firm eRad, Image Medical, announced a restructuring of the division last week designed to fill the void left by the death of company founder Peter Karoly.
Under the restructuring, eRad president Dr. Roy Miller has been given responsibility for all eRad operations. In addition, Edward Eidelman was named to the Image Medical board of directors.
Working capital for Image Medical was raised by offering shares of stock to current investors and key employees, the company said.
Karoly, his wife Dr. Lauren Angstadt, and their pilot died in an airplane crash in New Bedford, MA, in February 2007.
