Diagnostic medical display developer Planar Systems of Beaverton, OR, has formed a partnership with graphics developer Matrox Graphics of Dorval, Quebec. The two companies have jointly designed a 10-bit display solution that increases grayscale resolution on Planar's Dome EX line of diagnostic displays. Planar and Matrox announced their new venture today at the Society Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Providence, RI.
The display solution will enable Dome EX grayscale products to display 1,024 DICOM calibrated gray shades.
