PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems of Montreal has hired a new vice president of U.S. sales.
Bob Hoffman joins Intelerad from eRad of Greenville, SC, where he was executive vice president of sales. He has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, and was also president of cardiac PACS firm Digitec. He will oversee Intelerad's sales throughout the U.S.
In other Intelerad news, the company recently made enhancements to its IntelePACS software. A DICOM site license is now available, allowing IntelePACS users to query another PACS or any external DICOM source using InteleViewer Enterprise, the software's native PACS viewer.
Also new in InteleViewer is spine labeling with 3D coordinates, enabling labels to be seen in any series at the corresponding position; mask subtraction for digital subtraction angiography, permitting the visualization of blood vessels; and integration with the Dictaphone PowerScribe dictation tool from Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, that enables IntelePACS users to launch PowerScribe directly from the IntelePACS reporting worklist.
