Philips Medical Systems will be providing its iSite disaster recovery services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The VA disaster recovery services will be hosted by Philips and will provide automated backup of Philips iSite radiology image data for VA users, according to the Andover, MA-based vendor.
In the event of a disaster in which iSite information is lost at any VA site, the institution's entire radiology electronic image dataset can be restored from the VA disaster recovery site, with an initial restoration designed to begin within 96 hours, Philips said.
