Data Distributing launches DISCO

Archiving distributor Data Distributing of Santa Cruz, CA, has launched an automated, digital chart copy package for medical records departments.

Digital Secure Copy (DISCO) will allow users to comply with states' paperless chart copy mandate, according to Data Distributing. DISCO produces patient record copies on disk for medical records departments whether they are electronically based, paper-based, or both. It performs HL7 queries and retrieves patient data from the HIS or EMR system, creating digital copies of either full charts or specific visits and burning the data to a Rimage Disc Publishing System.
