(Booth 4106) Agfa HealthCare will highlight six suites of its Impax portfolio, each targeted at specific healthcare segments, at the 2007 RSNA conference.
Impax Enterprise Suite is designed for large-scale healthcare institutions covering multiple sites and multiple patient ID domains, according to the Greenville, SC-based vendor. It provides customers with assistance in workload balancing across locations and data consolidation with the firm's Impax Data Center, Agfa said.
Impax Hospital Suite is targeted at the small to mid-size hospital requiring integration of multiple specialties, and features clinical functionality, workflow adaptability, and scalability, according to Agfa. It includes 24/7 remote monitoring and management.
Another configuration, Impax Imaging Center Suite, is aimed at compact imaging centers and decentralized radiology practices, while Impax Cardiovascular (CV) Suite can handle cardiovascular image management and reporting needs, according to the vendor. CathLab and ultrasound modules are also available with Impax CV Suite.
Agfa said it has designed Impax Orthopedic Suite to meet orthopedic requirements in a digital environment, tying together orthopedic measurements and templating into a package with its Impax imaging and archiving platform.
The last offering, Impax Mammography Suite, is focused on handling the imaging, workflow, and reporting needs of diagnostic and screening mammography departments, Agfa said. It also supports the display of mammography computer-aided detection (CAD) through integration with SecondLook Digital software from iCAD or R2 ImageChecker CAD from Hologic.
Each Impax suite can also be designed at a modular level to accommodate future customer needs, Agfa said.
In other developments, Agfa will discuss new clinical applications and server-based 3D tools with Impax, as well as virtual colonoscopy, clinical decision support, and registration and fusion tools.
