(Booth 2583) Amicas will feature version 5.5 of its Vision Series PACS network and introduce version 2.0 of its Vision Reach module in its RSNA booth this year.

The new release features enhancements to the company's RealTime Worklist role-based workflow management tool, according to the Boston-based firm. With role-based workflow, users can create custom workflows for everyone involved in the radiology process, including the radiologist, technologist, and referring physician, Amicas said.

Vision Series PACS 5.5 also includes extended Vision Watch reporting capabilities, as well as new high-availability options, Amicas said.

In other announcements, Amicas will introduce version 2.0 of its Vision Reach module. The new release extends the software's ability to include follow-up order entry, according to the firm. Referring physicians can now order a follow-up exam using Vision Reach, in addition to receiving instantaneous notification when a report is available.
