(Booth 2165) DR Systems will highlight new mammography features on its Unity RIS/PACS platform at the upcoming 2007 RSNA show.
Version 8.1 features new capabilities designed to enhance mammography viewing, reporting, and workflow, according to the San Diego-based vendor. A mammography tracking feature tracks breast imaging outcomes and follow-up tasks, while the company's mammography reading tools adds customizable, automatic sorting of comparison exams, as well as additional mammography image hanging options, DR Systems said.
The company has also added mammography computer-aided detection (CAD) support and mammography reporting capabilities. All mammography features are combined into Unity's graphical user interface (GUI).
In addition to mammography-related capabilities, DR Systems has added patient tracking for monitoring patient status and location, as well as a patient link feature to merge or link related patient records across multiple databases.
The company has also incorporated a patient registration feature that provides a comprehensive online patient profile. A smart forms tool associates a patient exam with appropriate form templates, while film-tracking functionality confers management of patients' prior film-based records and external films.
Other additions include the ability for creators of notes and tasks to facilitate workflow tracking and priority setting, as well as Sentinel, which performs facility-wide monitoring. Unity RIS/PACS Release 8.1 will be released in November.
