(Booth 1122) Merge Healthcare will display a range of RIS/PACS offerings at the 2007 RSNA conference in Chicago.
Advanced visualization tools such as spine labeling, multiplanar reformatting (MPR), maximum intensity projection (MIP), and triangulation are included.
In work-in-progress developments, Merge will demonstrate version 3.0 of its Fusion PACS MX network. Version 3.0 adds the ability to launch the right clinical application for viewing each study, allowing specialty reading applications such as mammography, orthopedics, and PET/CT to be utilized within existing clinical workflow, Merge said.
The company will also discuss Fusion PACS GL, a PACS package targeted at European, Middle Eastern, and African customers. Fusion PACS GL features a range of customizable configurations, according Merge. Advanced visualization functionality such as MPR and MIP is also available.
Merge plans to devote attention to its eFilm Workstation software, featuring version 3.0, as well. In the latest eFilm Workstation release, Merge has added a number of media burning enhancements, including the ability to write to CD/DVD, an updated toolkit for media burning, a wider number of supported devices, and the ability to include non-DICOM files on media.
The company has also replaced the previous version's Access database with an SQL Express database. eFilm now has a storage capacity of 4GB, up from 1 GB in the previous version.
In addition, Merge has incorporated a number of new overlay features to improve the appearance of annotated images, including font management, customized DICOM overlay settings per modality, and scaled font size of annotations on printed films. Other eFilm 3.0 enhancements include a thumbnail panel to provide access to all related studies, facilitated spine labeling, and more configurable handling of multiframe images, Merge said.
The vendor is also debuting eFilm RIS/PACS at McCormick Place. Designed for single-site imaging businesses with smaller imaging volume, eFilm RIS/PACS includes eFilm Workstation, along with a Web server for distributed access to images and reports.
