(Booth 2312) Planar Systems of Waltham, MA, will shine the spotlight on its work-in-progress Dome ZX 16-megapixel display.
Dome ZX is a 30-inch grayscale diagnostic imaging display that employs 10-bit glass and a 10-bit video board for 1,024 simultaneous shades of gray from a palette size of 4,096, according to Planar. The displays can be configured as a dual 5-megapixel display, a dual 8-megapixel display, a single 10-megapixel display, or a single 16-megapixel display without the split bezel design, Planar said.
Planar has also incorporated its Dome Cxtra software for automatic DICOM calibration. The company believes Dome ZX will be suited for diagnostic imaging applications such as CT, MR, computed radiography (CR), digital radiography (DR), and nuclear medicine.
Dome ZX is scheduled for release in the summer of 2008.
