Monitor distributor Double Black Imaging will showcase its P-Series of LCD systems at this month's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
P-Series features higher brightness levels, digital uniformity control, 12-bit processing, a retractable front sensor for DICOM calibration, a backlight sensor for luminance control, and bonded protective panels, according to the Westminster, CO-based firm.
The displays are available in 2-megapixel monochrome and color versions, 2-megapixel monochrome and color versions, and a 5-megapixel monochrome LCD for mammography applications, Double Black said. The company said it will bundle all P-Series LCDs with a high-speed graphics controller (PCI-X or PCI-e) and its X-Cal calibration and quality assurance software.
In other news, Double Black will show a 46-inch color LCD targeted at operating room and emergency room environments, offering 1920 x 1080 resolution, 450 cd/m² brightness, and a contrast ratio of 1700:1.
In addition, Double Black will feature its DICOMetrix DICOM image flow and network performance monitoring package. DICOMetrix allows PACS administrators, directors, and IT personnel to monitor and track system performance, and alert radiology PACS support staff about system slowdowns and outages, according to the vendor.
