NEC Display Solutions of America is featuring the latest addition to its MultiSync MD Series of medical-grade LCDs, the MultiSync MD21GS-5MP flat-panel monitor, at this week's RSNA 2007 meeting in Chicago.
With 2560 x 2048 native resolution, the 5-megapixel display is designed to support medical imaging applications, including mammography and PACS, and features in-plane switching (IPS) LCD module technology with a possible 3,061 shades of gray, contrast ratio of 600:1, backlight sensor, and DICOM calibration, according to the Itasca, IL-based company. The monitor's pivoting stand permits use in either landscape or portrait configuration.
The MultiSync MD21GS-5M has a list price of $9,999.99 and comes with a three-year limited warranty with advanced overnight exchange service.
