(Booth 8608) Major corporate changes have been in the works at Templeton Radiology of Sparks, MD; in October 2008 the firm was acquired by EmCare, a subsidiary of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
Templeton has been providing teleradiology services since 2001 with final reads to clients in 31 states. The majority of Templeton's radiologists are fellowship-trained and hold necessary state licenses, credentials, and malpractice insurance for hospitals that use the service.
In connection with the EMS acquisition, company founder Dr. Philip Templeton will continue in his role as president of Templeton, and he has been named vice president of strategy and development at EmCare's RadStaffing Management Solutions subsidiary.
