Image management firm Emageon of Birmingham, AL, will showcase several new product enhancements at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual meeting in Chicago.
The company will highlight upgrades to RadSuite 5.35.1 and Enterprise Visual Medical System (EVMS) 8.10.1, including the following:
- A thumbnail icon that appears when studies have been viewed and completely displayed
- A viewer "specialist review" for image intensive specialists
- URL Launch to speed study viewing for quick review without needing a full AV download
- MammoSuite desktop integration, which allows sharing for multimodality support and computer-aided detection
- Integration of RIS-driven workflow from Epic Systems' Radiant software
- Workflow/worklist productivity improvements including a study note feature
- Web-based administration
Emageon will also display improvements to its HeartSuite 6.20.1 application, including Web-based clinical reporting from any location, easier navigation, and a consistent user interface across all reporting knowledge bases. Emageon has also provided integration for HeartSuite ECG and dynamic 3D echocardiography visualization and analysis through TomTec Imaging Systems, nuclear medicine functionality with Invia Medical Imaging Solutions, and CT angiography analysis from TeraRecon.
Finally, the company will debut Outside Study Gateway (OSG), a vendor-neutral package that standardizes the process for physician access to imaging studies performed at other facilities, Emageon said.
