Image management firm Emageon's planned merger with Tampa, FL-based Health Systems Solutions (HSS) has hit another snag.
After already having the merger postponed from a previous closing date of December 23, the Birmingham, AL-based firm said that it has been informed by HSS that it does not expect to have the funding necessary to consummate the firms' scheduled merger transaction today.
Stanford International Bank was to have provided the funds for the merger, which was scheduled to close February 11 in accordance with their amended merger agreement. Emageon said it's evaluating its options in response to this development.
