Display firm NDS Surgical Imaging has introduced Radiology Imaging for the Surgical Environment (RISE), technology designed to allow clinicians to view diagnostic images in the operating room (OR).
With RISE, x-ray images with digital orthopedic templating can be transferred to a boom- or cart-mounted surgical display in the OR, according to the San Jose, CA-based firm. Images can also be accessed instantly and reviewed side-by-side with a live high-definition feed from an orthopedic video camera, NDS said.
