AccelaRad launches medical imaging access package

PACS technology provider AccelaRad of Atlanta plans to launch a new medical imaging access, archiving, and collaboration service for patients, hospitals, radiologists, and referring physicians at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Chicago, the company said.

Radiology patients can utilize SeeMyRadiology.com to create their own personalized libraries of exams in a centralized location. For hospitals and imaging facilities, SeeMyRadiology.com supports streamlined cross-enterprise image communication with other imaging sites and referring physicians.

Developed in collaboration with the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus and Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta, SeeMyRadiology.com includes a toolkit that allows for standards-based image integration with a full range of electronic medical record and personal health record systems. The package can be branded with an imaging site's name to enhance recognition, according to AccelaRad.
