Data migration firm Laitek of Homewood, IL, plans to launch a set of upgrades for its Migratek v2 Advanced Migration services at this year's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in Chicago.
Migratek v2 reads, processes, and transmits medical imaging data directly from a legacy database and storage media to a destination PACS archive, Laitek said. As information is extracted from the existing PACS archive, any proprietary data is translated to standard DICOM 3.0 format.
