PACS accessories developer Nautilus Medical of Barrington, IL, has released a desktop version of its DicomRay DICOM CD/DVD writer.
DeskRay is designed for physician offices, emergency rooms, operating rooms, clinics, or locations in which burning a DICOM-compliant CD retrieved from PACS or a DICOM node is required without the expense of additional hardware, the company said. Using the CD/DVD burner in a laptop, DeskRay burns DICOM Part 10 disks with or without a viewer for use in review, exchange, or sneaker-net environments, Nautilus said.
