Teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic of Minneapolis posted 23% revenue growth in its first quarter (end-March 31), while net income fell.
For the period, the company recorded sales of $28.6 million, compared with revenue of $23.3 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago. The company said the growth was primarily due to a 25% increase in the number of hospitals and medical facilities it serves, which grew to a total of 1,050 as of March 31.
The firm's net income slipped to $1.4 million, compared with net income of $2 million in the corresponding quarter of 2008.
