Imaging informatics firm Viztek of Jacksonville, FL, has introduced a universal PACS function for its Web-based Opal-Rad PACS software.
With the new function, Opal-Rad can acquire, manage, and integrate imaging studies from multiple PACS networks into a single enterprise worklist, allowing radiology groups reading for multiple facilities to communicate across IT systems as if using a single PACS, according to Viztek. Opal-Rad will also send reports back to the original PACS application for storage.
