PACS developer NovaRad has introduced NovaPro RIS/PACS, software designed for radiology groups that read for multiple hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers.
NovaPro can retrieve DICOM images from an unlimited number of unaffiliated practices and keep their images and information separate, according to the American Fork, UT-based firm. Other features include automatic distribution of reports through direct HL7 messaging, e-mail, or fax to an existing HIS, RIS, and/or electronic medical/health record, NovaRad said.
