Sony launches dye-sub printer

Sony Electronics of San Diego has launched a new medical-grade dye-sublimation digital printer.

UP-DR80MD delivers 301 dots per inch (dpi) continuous-tone output and can combine images and text on letter-size media for medical reporting. The printer is designed to be integrated with medical carts and measures 12.5 (W) x 16.75 (D) x 8.13 (H) inches. It can also service multiple users from a fixed location via a network connection.
