Carestream Health has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its DryView 5850 laser imager.
Designed for digital mammography and general radiography applications, DryView 5850 offers 508 pixels-per-inch output and a D-max of up to 4.0, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor. Carestream will begin taking orders immediately for the imager, which is expected to begin shipping in the U.S. and other countries in June.
