Medical imaging software company SIMMS of Toronto has won a contract to install its SIMMS Enterprise product at the Heart Institute of the Caribbean.
The Heart Institute will centralize its operations by utilizing SIMMS Enterprise within its five facilities, which are geographically dispersed in four different countries and three different cities. The institute plans to streamline workflow and maximize outpatient productivity through the Web-based software.
SIMMS developed a new cardiology-centric module to meet the requirements of the Heart Institute. The expandable module is designed to distribute, archive, and organize all of the cardiac-related modalities, including echocardiograms, stress tests, nuclear scans, and angiograms, from all of its facilities and allow for interpretations and dictations from any point in the world.
Cardiology is the second new digital module to be added to SIMMS Enterprise in 2009, following mammography.
