PACS technology provider AccelaRad of Atlanta is showcasing new features for its Virtual Radiology Network (VRN) at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference in Charlotte, NC.
The new features include a PriorsAnytime module that retrieves previous patient images from any preconfigured third-party PACS as new patient exams are displayed; it can be configured to search by patient name, medical record number, birth date, gender, modality, and body part.
AccelaRad will also introduce a study upload module that enables instant transmission of exams from any Internet-enabled PC to AccelaRad VRN user sites, as well as a study-to-study reading feature that allows radiologists to view a series of exams without returning to their worklist, according to AccelaRad.
