Dr. Paul Berger has stepped down as chairman of NightHawk Radiology Services, the Coeur d'Alene, ID, teleradiology services firm that he founded.
In a June 8 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Berger said he is leaving his roles as NightHawk's chairman and member of the board of directors due to "significant differences" with the company over its strategic direction.
"The company has embarked on business and strategic initiatives which in good conscience I cannot support and do not wish to be a part of going forward," Berger said in the filing.
Berger did not elaborate on the nature of the differences. He previously stepped down as CEO of the company in November 2008
