Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, has introduced new obstetrics reporting and image management software.
Smart Results OB integrates and automates the workflow process by taking data from an ultrasound scanner and automatically populating report fields. Reports can be shared with referring doctors via e-mail or fax and stored to an electronic medical record system or PACS. The system can be set up to perform required calculations according to personalized specifications and to create related charts, according to Philips.
Philips has begun marketing the package in the U.S. and expects it to be available in Canada in fall of this year.
