PACS developer NovaRad has released the latest version of its NovaRIS/NovaPACS combined radiology software.
Version 7.2 includes new management reports, allowing facilities to glean data from specific staffing, billing, and productivity areas, according to the American Fork, UT-based vendor. In scheduling enhancements, NovaRIS can now "hard block" time periods when staff members are not available, as well as "soft block" slots that allow for appointments to be scheduled if they fit into the soft block parameters, NovaRad said.
Users can also now view multiple data sources simultaneously, create worklists for multiple sites and facilities, automatically purge temporary exams from the system based on the facility's rules, and archive studies in the PACS based on the sending facility, NovaRad said.
