Ultrasound image management firm Digisonics has announced that its DigiView image management and reporting software now offers evaluation of carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT).
Point-to-point measurements in CIMT screening studies are used to reveal signs of potential heart disease or an oncoming heart attack, according to the Houston-based company. Once CIMT images are received, DigiView software provides customizable image management and reporting functionality.
The firm notes that additional vascular-specific study types are available for this software.
