Educational Exhibit | LL-IN2596 | Lakeside Learning Center
In this educational exhibit, a team from Showa University Northern Yokohama Hospital will present its experience with a voice-controlled digital radiology "cockpit."
The Yokohama, Japan-based institution's voice-controlled digital radiology cockpit features eight synchronizing multimonitors, speech recognition and voice command, RIS/PACS integration, foot pedals for image scrolling, and a control box for aggregation of shortcut keys, according to Dr. Ryutarou Ukisu.
After implementing the cockpit concept, the institution experienced significant improvements in CT and MRI reading and patient turnaround time, Ukisu said, with most patients (approximately 95% for CT and 83% for MRI) getting their results within 40 to 50 minutes.
