Sectra inks sales deal in Middle East

Swedish PACS and digital mammography developer Sectra has signed a distribution agreement with Emitac Healthcare, a medical technology company with operations in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Under this partnership, Sectra will continue to expand operations in the Middle East, as Emitac Healthcare becomes a distributor of Sectra's medical systems.

The market is expected to expand because the UAE and Qatar have a population of approximately six million people, and the healthcare sector is developing very quickly, said the Linköping, Sweden-based firm.
