Canon U.S.A. launched imagePress C1+ digital printing with Virtual Imaging's Cypher, a DICOM printer server, at the RSNA annual meeting in Chicago this week.
Canon's imagePress C1+ is designed to produce high-quality color prints used for nondiagnostic purposes. Once combined with the Cypher print server, the system offers cost-effective digital printing for ancillary patient exam results on paper, according to Lake Success, NY-based Canon.
The Cypher DICOM printer server has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the company said.
