RIS/PACS vendor Brit Systems showcased a high-speed configuration of its PACS servers and workstations, enabled through the use of Dell high-speed computers with solid-state drives, this week at the RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The server offers next-generation Internet technologies such as clustering and cloud computing, according to the Dallas-based company. Brit has configured its PACS server with GWT, Java databases, and clustering tools on the Dell hardware.
The solid-state drives permit efficiencies that are beneficial for high-speed imaging modalities, large image data file sizes, and multiple files, the firm said.
