Medical imaging software firm PacsDrive announced the launch of its DICOM-compatible cloud storage service at the RSNA conference in Chicago.
PacsDrive is designed to provide HIPAA-compliant secure archiving of medical images for small- and medium-sized healthcare providers. The service is available in tiered packages, from storage of up to 10,000 studies for $99 per month to a package with storage of up to 250,000 studies for $899 per month, the new Salt Lake City-based company said.
PacsDrive employs encryption methods used by the military and banks to safeguard information, and redundancy is provided as data are replicated across multiple data centers in different geographic locations.
