Image storage and printing firm Codonics said that Siemens Healthcare will distribute its Infinity C and Infinity LX medical image servers in the U.S.
The Infinity servers store and retrieve standard Siemens DICOM files in a compact storage device, according to the Middleburg Heights, OH-based vendor. Codonics said that Infinity's raw data capabilities were designed for Siemens users and allow access of patient studies within the Malvern, PA-based firm's syngo application suite.
When configured for raw data, the Infinity server is used via the standard syngo interface, providing an automated system for storing, organizing, and retrieving Siemens PET and CT raw data, Codonics said. The DICOM storage server also allows users to store and query/retrieve DICOM studies, according to the firm.
An optional remote JPEG and DICOM viewer offers advanced 3D fusion, 3D maximum intensity projection (MIP), and multiplanar reformatting (MPR) capability.
