Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has been added to a list of approved PACS HL7 interfaces for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Carestream PACS passed the VA's validation test for its VistA Imaging System and can now be marketed to VA healthcare facilities nationwide.
VistA Imaging is the VA's medical and healthcare imaging software, encompassing electronic medical records that include clinical images, scanned documents, motion video, and other nontext data. It stores approximately one petabyte (1 million GB) of data, Carestream said.
