New customers helped teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic to an 8% revenue increase in its first quarter.
For the period (end-March 31), the Minneapolis-based vendor had revenue of $30.8 million, up from $28.6 million a year ago. The firm had quarterly net income of $2 million, compared with net income of $1.4 million a year ago.
Virtual Radiologic attributed the revenue gains primarily to a 15% increase in the number of hospitals and medical facilities it serves.
