PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra of Linköping, Sweden, plans to highlight updates to its IDS7 Web-based PACS technology at the upcoming Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting in Minneapolis.
The package's new capabilities include advanced database architecture that treats image data as multidimensional volumes; image compression that transfers image data over low-bandwidth networks and allows for 3D manipulations before all data have been loaded; and improved worklist management, hanging protocols, and overall navigation of patient information, according to Sectra.
