Radiology informatics firm Aycan Medical Systems of Rochester, NY, is demonstrating several improvements to its OsiriX Pro software at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Minneapolis.
The company said that it has added bug fixes and other small improvements to its 64-bit version of OsiriX Pro, along with an advanced hanging protocol plug-in that enables screen layouts and individual settings for the software's 2D viewer to be saved. When pulling up studies with the appropriate parameters, OsiriX Pro will open the series with the correct window-level, image number, and zoom settings.
The plug-in also automatically opens prior studies, which can increase the efficiency of daily workflow, and it enables OsiriX Pro to be used as a mammography workstation.
Other advances include a license server to make licenses available on a network, an 11-bit plug-in, and an advanced RIS interface.
