Image-sharing technology developer OmniPACS and software developer Chili USA have debuted version 1.0 of their OmniPACS medical imaging exchange.
OmniPACS 1.0 includes features such as file sharing, commenting, and community building, according to OmniPACS. It also provides faster and more efficient sharing of data with selected members of a user's online contact list, the firm said.
Users can assign account types and categories, integrate their e-mail for mobile image sharing, and allow resellers and professional groups to sell branded data archiving and sharing services. The service, developed in partnership with Jersey City, NJ-based Chili USA, is based on Web 2.0 and cloud computing concepts, OmniPACS said.
