Ultrasonix debuts SonixVCR feature

Ultrasound vendor Ultrasonix Medical of Richmond, British Columbia, has introduced SonixVCR, a software-based technology that records, stores, and exports entire exams in a standard digital format.

The SonixVCR recording feature is available on the Sonix Series ultrasound systems and can record as much as 60 minutes of imaging per file.

SonixVCR files are compressed and saved as MPEG1 recordings, and they can be stored or shared electronically within the same HIPPA compliance protocols as still or multiframe images.
