PACS technology developer Sorna of Eagan, MN, has signed an agreement with ODS Medical of Columbia, MD, to purchase the company's PACScomm DICOM CD/DVD systems division.
Under the agreement, Sorna also would take over support of ODS Medical's installed customer base of PACScomm systems and assume service contracts with ODS Medical's customers.
Because Sorna's eXpedo systems support the same CD/DVD hardware as PACScomm, customers with pending sales and valid quotes will be offered the choice of purchasing either software.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
