Teleradiology firm Imaging On Call (IOC) said that its customers can now utilize its onsite IOC PACS server as a backup in case their own PACS network goes down.
On-demand access to images is available on the IOC server not only during a disaster but at any other time a facility must revisit a study, according to the Poughkeepsie, NY-based firm. IOC clients can use this capability at no cost for up to 48 hours; additional time is available for a fee.
Via a Web browser, any authorized user can connect remotely to the service and will have immediate access to their patient's images, IOC said.
