PACS vendor ScImage and NextGen Healthcare of Horsham, PA, are teaming up to release a jointly developed universal medical image integration module.
The NextGen medical image integration module will provide NextGen users with simultaneous access to patient-centric and study-centric medical images, according to ScImage of Los Altos, CA. Via a common viewer inside NextGen's Ambulatory EHR software, the module allows access to images produced by any imaging modality or commercial PACS, ScImage said.
The physician and clinician viewing application requires no downloads, and NextGen client software will also have access to documents and reports generated by multiple disparate PACS, ScImage said. In addition, the module includes built-in modality worklist services.
