Film digitizer vendor Vidar Systems will release version 5.0 of its ClinicalExpress DICOM acquisition software for general radiography and mammography at the RSNA meeting in Chicago.
New features include a paper scanning option for mammography and improvements to the portable data for imaging (PDI) module that allow for importing and exporting of referral patient CDs, according to the Herndon, VA-based firm. The software also now includes the ability to set different window and level settings for clear or blue-based film, Vidar said.
